Staying with Nana and Papa
A big shout of thanks to Nana and Papa, who watched the kids while I went to my party (see below). We all spent the night. Here's pics of Joel and Papa, Nana and my Uncle Donnie working on their computers, and Papa and Luke having a snow ball fight! It was alot of fun!

News Boys
If you've know John for long, you know he LOVES the news... I often call him my nerd. When he was young...like elementary age, his parents would let him watch one TV show after school, and he would choose the news! His friends still joke about it to this day.
Well, John now has a fellow news nerd in the family. Joel gets up every morning and wants to eat breakfast and watch the news. This morning after watching the early morning news (he happened to wake up at 4:30), he informed me that there are no monsters in the Light House (White House).
I'm glad I'll be getting some current news briefs, since I don't always have time to watch it!

At last....the pink cast!
So...it's finally on...the hot pink cast! Chloe was so excited to show everyone that she was practically jumping as we left the orthopedics place!...that was untill her arm itched and she realized she couldn't do much about it! Then she started refering to it as "the stupid cast", and alot of screaming, "I want it off". Well, it's on for now. We'll take it off and get x-rays in 2 weeks!
Oh the things I find!
Oh the things I find when I decide to sleep in!
My kids (the boys particularly) are quite the creaters! This was the "activity" I woke up to this morning. I always am pretty impressed with their creative creations considering they don't know how to tye knots and they hav never had anyone show them how to do this stuff! At least their old enough to keep themselves busy and let me get a little extra sleep!

Ahhh, another week of forgetting my camara, but it was a busy one!
This week was sort of crazy. Arobics, and we hung out at my grandma's on Monday, Tuesday Chloe fractured her arm and there began, what seemed like a zillion different Dr/x-ray appts to find that she does need a cast. Then we had two different episodes of kids throwing-up and having diareaha..sp?, but on the bright side I managed to have two friends over for dinner, and visit with John's Aunt Jill, and did go to work one day! I need to remember my camara this week!
Another bright note is that I'm in that last trimester now!!! and the days are in the 30's untill we get to see John!!! The countdown is on!

Statement of the Week
Luke: I read a story about about Matin King at school, and he said that everyone should be treated equal.
Me: Yes Luke, that's really good. People should be treated equal.
Luke: But Chloe doesn't. She throws my toys.

Saying good-bye, we'll see you later.
Yesteray I attended my third grade teacher's funeral. Mrs. Hatcher was a lovely, and very kind lady, who loved children and teaching. She also attended the church I went to for years and I'm so glad to know that someday I'll see her again. In the meantime, prayers and blessings to her family, who I know will miss her dearly.
I totally forgot to snap some pics, but my good friend Marie (Mo) came down for the funeral. Her and her two kiddos, Lilly and Berg, stayed the night and we had an awesome time, as we always do when they come! I'm looking forward to church tomorrow and then onto another busy week!

The Gospel According to Starbucks
Above is the title of an interesting book I picked up. Of course, if you know me, you know I have a big passion for coffee....or any drink that even contains some derivitive of coffee.
So far, it really good, talking about how Jesus wants us to live a "Zoe" life (in the Greek text). Meaning a flamboyant, passionate life, instead of a "Bios" life, which is basically talking of mere existance.
Here are some quotes that I loved that were through this morning's chapter....I wish I could have coffee quotes plastered all over my kitchen. Everyone needs some humor, encourment and coffee in the morning!
"Coffee, according to the women of Denmark, is to the body what the Word of the Lord is to the soul." --Isak Dinesen
"Coffee should be black as Hell, strong as death, and sweet as love. --Turkish Proverb
"A cup of coffee committs one to forty years of friendship." --Turkish Proverb

Pics of the week
Pics of the week:
Here's a pic of "the brothers". These two crack me up and I couldn't be more happy to have two boys so close in age. They love the same things and create things together, play superhero together, and build webs or forts in our basement together all day! What pals.
Next is aunt Linda, who has been a family friend for years. She has more energy than ANYONE I know...literally! and has enjoyed watching the kids some of the days I work. She always ready to go on treasure hunts or to the park, so the kids just love her.
Next is Brady and Joel at the annual Ag Show. Yep, this sort of stuff actually attracks people in the Tri-Cities, and I can see why,....free pizza, free nachos, free apples, lentils and lots of free candy. I also bolsted my pen supply for the year, got matching "Tacoma Screw" coffee mugs for John and I and free 5 gal buckets! Might not sound that exciting, but I can't stand to buy them! Anyways, we all went with mom, dad, and Carinn and had a fun time!
Besides that my goal from Jan until end of Feb, when we go to get John, is to pack out my calander, and so far, so good. We've had nothing but a go-go-go schedule. Between arobics, work, eating dinner at our friend Cindy's, having a friend or two over and just sticking to getting my list done, it's been pretty non-stop and after a month of all activities being canceled due to snow and Christmas, I'm loving it!
