The Cousins

Spring Break brings so many blessings!....sometimes they are little people! The things we love to do as cousins:
1.) hang out/play together/be creative

2.) Be silly!
3.) Eat! Anything sugar is best of course! (I had to kick them all off a cake a church, that they were picking the frosting off of on Sunday)!
4.) Roast things with fire!
5.) Wrestle!!!
Pic of Aunt Tressa, who was watching the 3 boys for 1/2 of spring break. Of course there are many other things that Chloe and Noelle would do...I'm sure some of them would involve dresses and doll houses, but Noelle and Timmy are not quite old enough to go stay at Grandma's yet by themselves....maybe in a couple more yrs :)

Spring Break 2010! Day 1

Spring Break Monday morning....I couldn't sleep and woke up at 5am, got up and worked out in the basement, but I would have waited if I would have know everyone else would have been doing a morning workout at 8! Luke, "Dad, your blood is flowing to your arms, burn the fat!" It was a pretty commical site!

Then onto playing school. Monkey see, monkey do. Now that John is only in the reserves, and really busy with school, the boys seem to be playing teacher more than war...maybe that's a good thing :) Joel usually has 40 assingments and has "alot of work to do", according to Luke!

It's a box, it's a toy, no it's a bed

It's been a fun filled week at our place! Luke has been off 4 of the days for parent/teacher conferences, and John has been in VA for a class. When John is gone, to cure the sadness around here, we add some fun things to the schedule. It's amazing how much more mature the kids are from when John left for the deployment! Chloe and Luke are wonderful helpers now! They will bring me anything and watch Zechariah. Joel is always giving me hugs through the week and telling me how much he loves me, and most of all, we are starting to like more and more of the same things. I guess I'm blessed to have a pretty fun crew!

This week included bike rides, cookie making, ice cream, movie night, crafts, the park with friends, and a sleep over at Nana and Papas!

These pictures show the sleeping arrangments the kids enjoy at their grandparents. The boys REALLY wanted to sleep in the TV box from a big screen my dad had purchased and Zach's bed used to be Joel's and works well for a playpen. I know friend's and I talk about using boxes as toys, but I never thought to use them as beds....guess they are quite multi-purpose! Other picture is of the after dinner dodge-ball game. I think Luke is on "base".

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The kids have really gotten into St. Patrick's Day this year! We've made green cookies, green leftover potatoe and beef sandwiches, they even dressed themselves in (lots of) green today (lots of it mismatching)! Like some other holidays, they even thought it was supposed to involve gifts. They wrapped up their toys for each other this morning. Actually, they wrapped up the other kid's toys for them. ie, "Here Joel, her's your plane I wrapped up for you. Happy St. Patrick's Day." I guess unwrapping is most the fun?

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY from our crew to yours!

12 Weeks....yes, 12 weeks pregnant!

I guess I haven't posted that I'm due with our 5th in Sept! We are all pretty darn excited....Luke thinks, "it's alot of kids", Chloe is praying for a girl, Joel is just midly excited, and Zach obvisouly has no idea, but unfortunatly is going to have a real reality check in another 7 months!

Busy with activities

Although work for me is over, we've kept plenty busy with 20 zillion activities, and it's been pretty fun! Tues was hm group and Chloe's acting class, Thursday was piano, friends over for dinner, finishing a pergola, and them off to another friend's art show, Friday was Petersen farm dinner at Granny's and then off to a concert while my parent's took the kids! and Sat was a 25mi bike ride for John and friends, Toni's baby shower and Sunday church.....all which I meant to get pictures of, but only remembered to get this cute one of Toni with her new baby Adele....precious!

Posting again :)

Due to John downloading the camara pictures in an unknown location, I haven't blogged for awhile. Back, I'm back at it. Latest in our house is that I'm completely finished working for now. Chloe is still hm schooling. John's working away at school. Zach is almost one (can't really believe that!) Joel and Luke are obessed with any sort of game as well as weapons....which can sound really wrong in certian situations....and well, that's about it I guess. Hopefully I'll located the past pictures soon!

Here's Luke while unloading dishes.
