Boy will be boys.

Looks like Zach likes video games too!

Green eggs and ham = very gross looking dinner!

So, John was gone for awhile at reserve duty, and I usually try to really fill up the calander with fun stuff while he's gone, so I asked the kids things they wanted to do and they said one thing was that they wanted to eat green eggs and ham. Here it is. Holly and I felt it just looked "wrong"! Ehg! They gobbled it up though!
Looks like the green food dye drugged Zach :)
Joel always looks like that!

Home Ec. with Auntie

So, Home Ec was one of those 'extra" classes I threw in Chloe's schedule, that is obviously not required by the state, and doesn't have a lot of supervision or direction. Like many home school things I had wide-eyed visions of sewing, cooking, crafting ect, and as the weeks got busier and buisier, I realized that we would often run out of time for alot of what I had wanted to get done! Holly sometimes picks up the slack, thank goodness. Here are her and Chloe making loads and loads of cookies, for one of Holly's friend's workshops he was teaching. Looks like fun and we all enjoyed the results!

First bath together

Ok, so this is not as X-rated as it appears. Everyone had swimsuits on besides Zechariah. However, it was everyone's first time piling in the bath together, and I thought it was so darn cute, I just had to take a picture. I think it was Zach's first bath ever. We were remodling this bathroom for months after he was born, and redoing the plumbing/tiling behind the tub ect, ect, so he has always just taken showers with us. Anyways, what a fun and silly bath crew :)

Cousin sleepover!

My nephew Brady and his 1st time spending the night wihout his mommy! I honestly figured we'ld be calling Carinn in the middle of the night, but he did great! Even when Joel had a bad dream early in the morning and ran through the entire house screaming. Yes, this house can be a little weird, even when it's not your first time spending the night somewhere new!

The joys of a Master's degree

Here is John with many, many books, writing his thesis paper for a theology class. There are even more piles behind those! I had to take a pic, sense all those books looked rather overwhelming to me.

Ft. Walla Walla

So, the cool thing about hm schooling through a school dist. is that your kids still get to enjoy some of the "school type" stuff, like riding a bus with lots of kids on field trips :) John went on the bus with the kids to Ft. Walla Walla. They were really nice and let Luke go too. They all had a great time. So cute to watch them! The following day, the hm school site had the Reptile Man come. He was terrific to watch, but I forgot my camara!
I'm sure Luke wanted to bring this home! He's going through a big weapons phase right now :(
John's favorite thing.....a huge tree that was really old. What a weirdo.

Hm group escapees :) Yes, here's a pic of 1/2 the kids at hm group rolling down the back hill after the little 2 yr old escaped (scary thing is the river is on the other side of the hill). Anyways, the entire thing was commical sense all 3 babysitters were in the playhouse for the entire episode. I had to grap my camara as two moms and a herd of children were running along the hill of the riverwalk after a 2 yr old, who had quite a lead!

Zachy's 1st Birthday!!!

Wow! How fast a year flies by! Last Easter I was dressing a 2 week old up in Easter bunny ears and this year he's a talking, almost walking, little man! I think the 1st year should be 2 yrs!!!

Zach's current words: mama, dada, ut-oh (favorite word), hello (with wave), thank you, banana, Nana, wawa (water). He is definetly my fastest talker and we can tell he's going to be quite the conversationalist (would you expect anything else from one of our children?). He is still doing the one-legged crawl and LOVES his brother's and sister, who seem to really LOVE him too. It's a blessing to see!

Auntie Carinn made the cutest bunny cake for him that was carrot/pinapple cake with cream cheese frosting....yumm!

Happy Easter!

For he loved us so much that he sent his only son, and then his Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sin. We are so blessed to know him!

End of Spring Break 2010!

Aunt Suz and Lacy come for a visit! Dinner with Mark and Toni, painting the boys room and getting the bunkbeds put together. Craft night and Lindeys. So fun....now on to the weekend! Early Friday morning hair cuts iwith Auntie Holly. Zach is actually the most well behaved during haircuts!
Spring....it is here! I just can't wait for the mid 70 degree weather!

Visit from the Goldsworthys

John's parents came to visit. Here is Genie candling John's ears. We found the whole thing quite funny...especially the kids, since John pretended it was sucking his brain out. Good times :)
Had to just throw this one in....here's Zach after breakfast one morning. Must have been alot of working eating bannanas and Cherrios!

Joel

Joel, 4.5 yrs old, whitiest kid I know, cute as can be, oh so sweet, oh so (unfortunatly) sassy! Always unexpected and always making me laugh!

Here is how we found Joel in time-out today. Yes, he is under the garbage can. His new nick-name is "bucket".

After time-out he had a good time walking around the house with it.

Reason for time-out: thowing a total fit while auntie cut his hair.

What is usually is dressed in, even when we're going to stores. He's quite a site! I just LOVE him!!!
