Fun pics

The boys really wanted me to take this picture after they had put a Batman cape on Zach. (that's what that black thing is behind him) We almost lost poor Zach in a pile of laundry! I guess we need to get to that pile one of these days!

Duck Release Party!

Our friends, Katy and Cameron, had a weak moment one day at Farmer's Exchange, where they purchsed 2 little ducks. They later remembered that they lived in a one bedroom apt. They also soon realized that ducks poop more than they eat and although they loved their little ducks and had fun watching them swim in their tub, they knew it was time for them to be realised into the wild....or the Petersen farm ditch.
Duck release party crew :)
Why do pictures end up sideways sometimes?? As you can see, the poor ducks were not so sure about the boys holding them....can you imagine why?!
Even Zachy loved the little ducks.

Chloe was hesitant, but finally got up the nerve to hold Daisy duck.....or maybe that one was Scott? Luker and a duck.

Cute little things, aren't they!
After the ducks had been fed strawberries, grass, other weeds the kids found and were chased, held too tightly and dropped, it was time for us to go. Here are the kids riding away with Papa.
Take care little duckies....we'll come visit you soon :)

Blackbird island!

Joel on Blackbird island! Zach waiting while we do some off roading to the water's edge.
Oh man, this must be a sure sign there are piarets!
Luke showing his "very excited face" and Joel showing his "very scared face".
John and Zach on the bridge to Blackbird island.Camping!!! John, why the heck did you bring the 3 man tent?! We have a 9 man! Oh well, at least we were cozy and warm :)

The Nutcracker Museam

Another stop in Leavenworth. Picture displays John's obvious feeling about it. There were really an increadible amount of nutcrackers! Every possible sort of nutcracker from Yoda to a mormon missionary. The had them all!
Joel is feeling sort of like John did about it.

Didn't realize I didn't crop by rear out on this pic...:( Chloe girl, who thought the museam was pretty interesting.

Leavenworth

Mini family vaca. at Leavenworth.
Kids by the horse. Zach at the silly hat store....he was not wanting to be a silly hat participant!Suz, this one is for you....totally chic in AK!

The girls....yes, all three of us! :)

I think I have another pic in the hat from 1.5 decades ago at Ecology! haha!
Luke....I think!
Chloe Joey in, of course, somthing pink!
Luke and I walking with Zachy.

Wanapum Dam

On our trip to Leavenworth, we stopped at Wanapum Dam. I was rolling my eyes as we pulled in, since John and the kids love to take 5 zillion detours, but it was so fun. We looked in microscopes and saw all kinds of Indian artifacts, and learned alot about their efforts to save the Salmon.

preggo pedis :)

Keisha and I after our "preggo pedis" date. My treat for Mother's Day. It's nice to get it done once a year!

Happy Mother's Day

Here is my sweet mother, cuddling Zach. The weather this mother's day was fabulous! After weeks of rain, wind and cold, the day was just perfect! We had everyone over for burgers but Carinn was under the weather and since Holly and I were feelin' somthing coming on too, Granma skipped out this year:(
Chloe gave me an adorable bag she had made for me and Luke gave me very cute pink clay candle holder, and I now have an annual tradition of using my mother's day gift for a peticure (see next post). Chloe girl and mom.
I don't really know if napkins will prevent sunburns, but it's a nice try...

Movie night

Ooo, this is fun! I must be as old as everyone else! Yep, just hangin' out, watching Alvin and the Chipmunks.
I really don't know what I'm laughing at, but everyone else is doing it.
See, so I better too. That's what the big kids do!

We had a fun Friday movie night watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. We were supposed to spend the night at my mom and dad's, but the kids had colds, so we tried not to expose everyone else. Zach was the cutest thing. He sat in his exasaucer and ate popcorn pieces and laughed at the movie like everyone else. I guess he thought he was pretty big! Sooooo cute!

Holly and Tom :)
