December Happenings

I've been soooo absent, and although you might be thinking, "well ya, you have that decor blog that you're putting all your time into", I'm going to officially blame this record absence on my computer issues! lol However, I did buy a brand new laptop.....which then completely died 2 weeks later (it should be fixed tomorrow), but for now, I'm swiping mom's and posting, while she is in Hawaii!

Man, we have such awesome family. They all came to support Chloe for her performance. The first performance happened to be at the Canyon Lake Manor, where my grandpa just happens to live (that worked out nicely).

So that's our Dec. so far. I've also had a couple days of RD work. I've also picked up a new 4 hr/mo job doing menu consultation from home (awesome). John is mid-finals week and has still about 60% of his Greek class to finish....yikes (prayers are appreciated). Homeschool is still in full swing . We will take a VERY LIMITED Christmas break.

I am working hard to make my decor blog a professional one. Follow me on www.blah2beautiful.blogspot.com if you don't already, or "like" my FB page. I am hoping to open an ETSY shop with the kids soon, (all proceeds will go to their college funds). OK...that's about it on us. Hopefully the computer will be truly fixed tomorrow, and will work ever so wonderfully for at least 1 yr and therefore I can easily keep posting pics :)

The 3 older children get to choose 1 activity each (per season). This is besides piano (which I insist they take), and the boys take chess club at Hm Link (but I give enthusiastically encourage that too). So Joel has decided to take Karate! Doesn't he look like a natural? Must be from practicing marshal arts so frequently with his brothers :)

Luke's team, The Vipers, had a chance to play under the big lights at Edgar Brown Stadium the other night! It was right before the Walla Walla/Chiawana game. It was sure fun to watch! Luke is in the middle, with his number covered up.

Go #22! Luke has been playing defensive tackle. He loves tackling....I bet you can believe that!

We got to celebrate this cute girl's b-day a little early. We met everyone at FroYo's frozen yogurt shop for a yummy treat!

Chloe has matured so much over the past year! She is an increadible helper! She is kind, and cares alot of others. She (as she always has) loves people. She love Jesus Christ and loves loving people like he does. What mom could ask for more! She also as cute as can be. Has a great sense of style, is an increadible reader, and writer. Couldn't be more proud :)

Leave it to Joel to do something gross. Those are actually gummy worms covered in ice cream hanging out of his mouth. I let the boys have two toppings each. Joel chose gummy worms and sour patch kids on rasberry yogurt.....ugh!

Sacagawea Days

Every year Sacagawea Park has Heritage Days. The local Indian tribes come and Moutian men (and women). It's a pretty cool event. This year we went with our home school group ( Hm Link).

I left John at home to work on his homework, but called to tell him he would really love all the things at the park adn to meet us if he had time. Well, of course he couldn't pass it up, but figured he would ride his bike instead of drive.....um, nice idea, but he was a little off on how long it would take, so after waiting awhile, we finally went and picked him up on our way home.

Our Eva girl is ONE!

Eva is still such a sweet baby. Calm, kind, and fairly self-entertianed, but just as her brothers did, she's starting to gain a little bit of one year old spunk and personality and expressing her will more than she has before (although she's not as wild as her brothers). She has started waiving, started saying "hi" and "bye". She says "mama" and "dada". I'm fairly sure "dada" was her first word. She loves her siblings, but doesn't necessarily like them carting her around, and they all love her ALOT! To say she is well loved in our house, is an understatement. Although Zach is a little rough and still yells at her saying "top Eva" (stop Eva), when she is just looking at him wrong! She is pulling herself up and crawling everywhere, and is still just as cute as ever. We feel pretty blessed with our Eva doll. :)

This must have been when I went to Lindsey's wedding shower becuase it was a tea party and it looks like I have feathers in my hair?? Anyways, I love my girls sooo much. Chloe is such a thoughtful and nice person and is truly the best helper in the world (really she is a terrific helper)! and Eva is just the sweetest, cutest thing ever! (I'm hoping it stays that way through her twos!)

Holly had her 30th birthday while in town, and Tressa had an awesome idea to have a parade and to have Holly be the princess of it. What a good idea. We definetly all had a good time!

So, Luke has been talking about playing contact football for about a year. I was thinking it would be perfect for him. He loves to wrestle, and has ALOT of energy. Great way to get it out would be some football.

Well, I've always heard of Grid Kids football and it sounds like a nice, fun name for a football group for young kids. OK, now I realize that I signed up for a pretty serious league! 4 practices/week plus a game! 1.5 hour practices! Serious stuff for a 7 yr old (in my opinion). Well, he'll have LOTS of good practice by the end of the season. In the meantime....well be driving and sitting alot.

Saturday happenings.

First of all, I must mention that the most exciting thing to happen Saturday was that they caught a wanted convict they had been chasing in our neighbor's driveway! Ya, I guess those convicts like to use the riverwalk and he tried to escape through our neighbors yard. Gotta love it. The cops had guns drawn, and cuffed him as we peered through the window.

Here are some pics of Zach drinking smoothy. He is getting so big. He just such a cute little guy. Pretty intense, lots of energy, and still likes to be a kitty. Especially when he gets in trouble.

Lindsey's bachlorette party. We went to a local winery. It was the most beautiful evening and I had a GREAT time visting with friends. ..I'm the fuzzy one on the end if you're wondering.

Joel, being totally gross as usual. He has been planning his future carrer in the resturant buisness for awhile. He tells us he is going to have a restraunt called the "Junk Buffett" and there will be all kinds of disguesting things on it, such as brains, eyeballs, worms, dirt, ect, ect......great imagination, although I'm not so sure he'ld stay in buisness.

Richland Bap. VBS Concert

Richland Baptist always puts on a fantastic VBS for the community. I think they had 270 sum kids this year! My kids always love it!

My kids have been practicing in the living room the entire week for their concert.

Wow! Seriously! is this the best picture I got for our 12th anniversary date?! OK. these smart phones are awesome to have camaras on them, but really, even though I have an 8mg pixel camara on this thing....the pics are not really all that. I need to get the USB chord to my nice one, so I can start posting decent pics again.

Anyways, enough of my excuses for poor picture quality. We had a wonderful 12th anniversary. Went to Walla Walla for dinner. Ate at T.Maccarones. John just read an article that disscussed 5 different areas that people fall into when they travel.

1.) random entertainment....you know, like plays, music on the street ect...

2.) art.

3.) food....are you a foodie?

4.) random events

5.) hmmm....i'm trying to remember #5.

Anyways, John and I actually fall into being foodies and the random events people (we also love any reason to go to something that involves activity...such as a run or hike). So T. Maccorones had been highly recommended. There food was good, but I don't think I would pay the price....it's not THAT good. However, we went to the Marcus Whitman for dessert and you can get terrific service, a fabulous french press cup of coffee and an increadible dessert to share (I chose the baked Alaska) for $11....Increadible taste and a steal of a deal....ok. I wrote alot about the food. Maybe I really am a foodie.

Anyhoo. Good times in Walla Walla. We had a wonderful talk and it was great to get away for a bit.

My cousins and I (6 of us cousins in all, 4 spouses, and 12 children) have been prepping for a suprise 35th wedding anniversary for my mom, dad, aunt and uncle for months now. We partied it up last night. It was fabulous and I can now start posting some pics of the planning and party on my blog!

Here are some of the prepping pics. Dayna, Brain and their 5 kiddos arrived and stayed the first night. That meant 10 kids and 4 adults here. I LOVED it and would do it once a month if I could! The kids have SOOO much fun together. Just like we all used to.

I guess I'm saying that this weekend started on Wed. We drove up to Spokane to stay with John, who had been working up there for awhile. We all stayed in a 1 bd rm which really works out fine, except for the 2 babies who crawl in and out of our bed a few times a night and wake everyone up at 5am!

We started Thurs morning getting Eva shots at the base, and then going to see our good friends Lilly, Mo and Berg. I'm sooo bummed that I forgot to get pictures. We spent alot of our time making hair flowers and elastic headbands for Clara. It's always so good to see them!

Below you can see the Woodward clan and our kids when we went to drop the headbands off! I asked them to do something silly, and they were much obliged!

Friday morning we were off bright and early to visit some people John is going to be preforming a wedding for. Then the kids and I went to see Nikki, Patrick and little Ronan. I told them that if it was ok, I was going to have an arranged wedding someday! Isn't he cute! Plus, I love his parents!

Zach had his own 5am make-up party :) I wasn't invited. Um, maybe becuase I was sleeping. Looks like he had a fun time.

We watched Caleb the other day. Caleb is my cousin's son, so he is a 2nd cousin I guess?? Anyways, the kids all had so much fun together! They were so fun to watch!

Zach loves Eva....in a tough love kind of way :/ We here alot of, "Stop Eva!", and "Owe", when she really isn't doing anything to him! This weekend has been a blessing! So much social stuff to do. It's nice to have all the social stuff when John is gone.

Here's miss Eva, just sitting at church, looking cute (she's really good at that!)

She is so sweet. She just sits there, plays with toys and smiles at people. There's a part of me that wishes she would stay just the same forever.

After church we met M&D at the park for lunch, then it was off to Camerons mom's BBQ!

Out of all my shots (with an infant in one hand and trying to keep Zach quite with the other) This was actually the most decent pic I got of the couple.

Tonight my friend Brian hosted a suprise birthday party for his lovely wife Beth. Beth and Brian's 10th wedding anniversary and Beth's birthday are within a couple weeks of one another. Well, the suprise, at first, just seemed to be a suprise birthday, but then came the other suprise that he had set up for them to renew their vowels!

Let me tell ya, Brain has set the bar high (really high), for all the other husbands! He thought of everything! I was pretty impressed! From awesome food, to a place for kids to play, to having people designated to set up/take down chairs and decorations in a flash for the suprise vowel renewel part. Even an outdoor TV set up to watch their wedding video. It was excellently planned and exeucted!

Second generation kids of the class of '97! Our class (high school youth group) rocked. What alot of fun we had (I won't mention all the camps, malls, and other places we got kicked out of)! Out of all of us, these kids are only from 4 of us! Yes, I know. Alot of them are mine.

Luke: Well, if that little girl has cancer, then I'm definetly going to run!.....emphasis on the "Run". We were really walking it due to John being out of town and I having the 5 kids walking it with me. I think he thought running would physically help her somehow, instead of walking. It was really cute.

OK, really the kids were running to the park, where the race started. They didn't really "Run" any of the race. lol.

Aunt Anne and Uncle Jerry met us along the path and walked with us about 3/4 of the race. So we had quite the family crew! It was really fun to do it together! Anne had just had hip replacement and I was pushing the double stroller and the 4 older kids were running around us, so we were all about the same pace. I think we came in very close to last, but well worth it for all the visiting we got to do!

For some time now, I've been LONGING for a smart phone, and a nice camara, and I was blessed to obtain both in the same week. I'm hoping to get more blogging done becuase of this! (once I actually figure out how to use them!).

Wedding Time!

Some of our very fun friends got married the other day. I love it when you can tell that God has brought two people together! Loved going to their wedding and seeing them put Jesus first, even in the ceremony. Becky, the bride was Chloe and Luke's swim teacher a couple years ago. Becky is a very creative, red-head, who knew just how to deal wtih Chloe! She was perfect! Later, she watched the kids while I worked and John was deployed. She also goes to our church. Ryan, the groom, is originally from TX. He moved to the TC for work and helps with the church HS group, which is where he met John. The wedding was awesome and circus themed. It was just increadible and a great representation of Becky and her families creativitiy! Only someone who has a super crafty mother and a masters in Costume and set design, could pull off a wedding like this in the time they planned it in! So fun to see :)

My Tri-Delta College friends and I try to meet up once a year. This year we planned to reunite in Walla Walla. We have such a great time when we get together. We all wish we could do it more often. Walla Walla was a wonderful place to relax, catch up and meander downtown. It was JUST what I needed!

I think all our kids are pretty fantastic. They fight (like all kids do), but they really do care about one another...some days, it seems "deep down".

Chloe and Luke took a Butterfly Class this spring at the home school site, and they got to raise butterflies in class!

After the caterpillers turned into butterflies, they got to release them!

Insanity Workout!

John and I decided to kick our workouts up a notch this summer. We borrowed the Insanity Workout from our neighbor. My sister Holly happened to also be doing this set of videos and she was smoked by these workouts! They are serious! These are pics from our first Family Insanity Workout! Quite an experience, and quite commical!

Doing push-ups....Chloe, starting out in a dress (later changed). Joel starting out in a turtle costume??....later changed.

Zach is surely the youngest person ever to do the Insanity Workout!

I can't forget to mention that Luke hung in there untill the end, and even yelled at John to speed up!

Ya, it got a little crazy when Joel jumped off the couch into my tennis shoe! Don't worry, his eye is ok.

Trip to Tacoma

John was able to go to a chaplain's conference at Ft. Lewis last month. I debated about going with the kids and touring our old stompin' grounds (we lived in Lakewood while John worked at Ft. Lewis for 2.5 yrs). At the last minute (literally the morning of), I decided to go! We shoved some things in bags and headed out the door.

Here is the first night in our hotel. Actually there was a kind sized bed and a hide-a-bed couch, so it was spacious enough.

The kids and I toured Point Defiance Park.

Joel, actually giving me some decent pictures! I think it's possibly the first time in yrs. I must have bribed him with something good enough!

We also went to Point Definance Zoo and Aquarium for part of our home school that week. It was lots of fun!

I forgot to take pictures of all the friends we were able to see. We met with my sweet friend Jaime, we were able to meet with my friend Heidi and her two little boys and on our way home we saw our friend Laurel and her 3 kiddos, who is underway with her husband's second deployment.

It was time for the hunt. An annual ritual on Easter at our house. Of couse we missed Aunt Suzie, who usually hides the eggs, but John and Doug obliged.

Joel is obnoxious through the entire event. Bribery, threats, and small pinches don't do much to help.

John feels like being as obnoxious as Joel, but keeps it together....at least in the begining. However, any setting where sunlight hits his face, he squints, which drives my mom nuts (she's the photographer).

Hence, we usually end up moving to a different location with some shade (but with no shadows). By this time we've taken about 50 pictures, I'm sure.

I think this is probably our best one. Mom didn't even have to digitally switch heads on people with photoshop!

John finally lets his "nice" guard down, and starts acting how he really feels.

This is our hill....ok, actually it's the cities, or maybe the Core of Engineers, or whomevers, but we love to use it! Sometimes I feel I have more rules for my yard then alot of other people....ie; don't throw the rocks (which are everywhere), don't play in the sand, don't climb my little bushes or you'll break them, don't pick the flowers (unless they're dandilions), ect, ect, so this hill and dirt pit by it, is nice to let everyone run free on!

Somehow I wound up with two different pictures of my parent's when I downloaded my mom's card on my computer. I know the quality isn't prefect, but if you saw it clearly, you'ld see my mom looks about 13 in this picture. Really she's at least 20 :)

Nana (mom) got a new camara....a NICE camara! She has come over a couple times and just asked for one kid at a time (because she knows on any random day, I could probably only handle finding decent clothes and getting them on ONE child). John needed a quick Dr's check on a rib that had been really bothering him, so we set out for the Walla Walla VA.

First thing we did was drop him at the VA, then I realized, what the heck?! I have 5 kids with me, home school work for them to do, a fussy stinky baby, a stinky 2 yr old and a hot cramped van! Why did I come? So, we found the parade field to get the wiggles out.

John Wainwright Memorial....notice the kids wrestling in the back. That's really all they did out there!

Except for Chloe who really only likes to "try" wrestling for about 2 minutes.

Really though, it didn't take nearly as long as I had feared, and then we stopped at McDonald's, changed into our running clothes and went running on a terrific trail, by a stream, at Walla Walla college. It was so much fun. We decided we would pack the bikes and scooter and run on road trips from here on out!

Our Life Mid-April 2011

I can't really believe it's almost the end of April! Oh my. We were supposed to have the kitchen completely finished up by the begining! I guess cuboard stripping needs to be done in 70 degree weather, so that put a holt of some of it. Besides that...hm school, ministry stuff, doing good at keeping the house clean (which takes CONSTANT) effort!), cooking, yard work has started, we've taken 2 west side trips...ect!

Date night! Progressive date night! Started with deep fried pickles at McGills, then to The Kind and I, for green curry, then to Six Degrees for deep friend snickers. I actually think the green curry was the best. I guess I'm not huge on deep-fried stuff. It was really nice to get out. We even left Eva with mom and dad.

Admission: I wear this hat about 2 x's/wk! I know that's horrible to admit. When you are this busy, you can barely even plan time to get your hair done, so if you don't have the time to put in to really fix it decently, it just looks better to cover it up!

Yard work has begun! We kicked it off with a "yard weekend" last weekend. Luckily the weather was beautiful. Cousin Brady and our neighbor Dominic came over to play too. It was a fun day in the new, nice weather!

Zach......the spunky 2 yr old!

*I'm trying to remember what we had for dinner that night....all over his face.

He didn't really "get" that it was his birthday. But the older kids let him know about it ALL DAY!!! Joel even insisted that he go to the $1 store and buy Zach a present.....so cute! So Luke, Joel and John went and bought Zach a package of whiffle balls from the dollar store. See...kid's don't need to be spoiled.

We had ice cream bars and a nice dinner and sang Happy Birthday :)

Zach can say all sorts of words. He's starting to say 3 word sentances. He is our most observant child, and also the most destructive. Funny that he is destructive and makes crazy messes, but is the cleanest of all the kids. He constantly is shutting drawers and picking things up. We'll even find him with wet whipes washing the floor. He still likes to be a "puppy" and tries to make Eva laugh multiple times/day by dancing around and screaming like a maniac! We've found him singing Happy Birthday and the ABC song, but when asked to sing it, he will only reply, "stop"! He loves balls, trucks, water and dirt. Just like any good little boy should. We love him to pieces.

Eva enjoyed the broccoli instead of ice cream. Whacha don't know won't hurt you I guess!

Early April Random Pics

As the previous post showed, we made it to Seattle a couple weekends ago. My mom had booked a hotel for a Dr's apt and then wasn't going to be using it, and couldn't back out, so we gladly took her hotel room :)

The kids seriously relish hotel rooms. John and I think they're sort of boring and would rather see the area we're visiting, but the kids will constantly ask, "when are we going to get to the hotel room"! Of course, keep in mind that we camp 95% of the time.

I supposed there is cable, contentetal breakfast, and this hotel had a swimming pool and hot tub! I suppose I can see why they like it so much!

Zach finally went to sleep after running around the room like a tornado for awhile. We all had to laugh at how he finally went to sleep.

The Boeing Museaum of Flight

We all had an awesome time at the Museaum of flight!

Yes,...we still had to drag John out of there after 3 hours. I think the 3 older kids would have stayed longer too.

Only 1 accident. Joel fell out of the Concord plane....luckily he didn't fall far. Just banged up his nose a bit.....really that's not a bad day :)

It was rainy. Zach, Eva and I waited for the other 4 to tour some planes outside. However, I did make it on Air Force One.

March Happenings

Wow! Where did March go? We have been busy! We started off the month with John doing some reserve work in Vancouver. We got to hang out with our cousins and go to the beach....stayed in a yurt again. It was an awesome time! Unfortunatly....I forgot my camara :(

Here is Eva boo. She is 6mo today! Rolling over, almost sitting up. SUCH A SWEETIE! and so super cute! Only Luke can get her to laugh out loud, but she smiles at everyone else!

Luke Turns 7!

I really can't believe this kid is 7! Such a wonderful guys he is becoming too! Smart, has a great sense of humor, is good at about everything he tries, and is just a kind person who loves Jesus. Gotta love 'em!

His favorite things are anything that relates to battles or guns, anything that relates to video games (although he is only allowed to play them on Sundays on the computer), and he is usually overly excited about food. He and Joel are often pretending they each run a large ships. He wants to be in the NFL when he gets older, and says he needs more food to "beef up". He feels God wants him to be a doctor and a chef.....John and I are trying hoping for the Dr, and maybe a hobby chef. lol :)

For his birthday he usually chooses Chucky Cheese, even though if the kids pick that, they know we only bring family. I guess it's still worth it to him. So we all went to Chucky Cheese and then home for cake.

I can't believe my Eva boo is 5 mo old! She is such a doll. So sweet and has the cutest pudgiest legs, arms and cheeks ever! I'm compeletly head-over-heels about her!

Eva can roll over from tummy to back and back to tummy. She recognizes all her siblings and smiles whenever they are around her. She is starting to get mommy leaving her-itis. She likes to rock herself while people are holding her (which I find really interesting and funny. None of my other kids have done this). She sometimes sucks on her bottom lip to put herself to sleep. Luke has gotten her to laugh a couple times by jumping up and down and yelling, but besides that, she doesn't bust a gut very often. She is my most bald and pudgy baby and I have an urge to constantly kiss her cute little cheeks. Saying she is well loved around here is an understatement!

Besides home improvement, and home schooling, these two take the rest of my time! Zach has defeintly hit that "terrible two" stage! I remember the other boys hit it early too. Lots of screaming, lots of testing the "naughty" limit. Oh man, he's super cute, but some days I wish he were 3 already....a little more independent and a little better at comunicating, and a little more self-controlled! Good thing he's so darn cute and gives lots of sweet kisses!

You'll notice we have ALOT of pictures of Zach in the highchair. As much as I'm against little kids watching too much tv, and against "cooping" little kids up, we have had to keep him here alot for his own safety lately! He can get out of an playpen and is as quick as a whip! He gets into EVERYTHING, dispises kid toys, and only seems to enjoy destroying adult things! He usually breaks, spills, gets into, or colors on about 10 things/day.....and that's with us trying to keep him pinned! Today John found that he had gotten into the cupboard and dug 6 of thoses whopper easter eggs out of his mouth! 6!!! Oh heavens, pray for safety!

Yes, we have to keep him tied in the highchair when we're watching family movies, or we'll be constantly chasing him. Actually I think this was story time.

Field Trip to the Crehst Museaum

The nice thing about homeschooling is that you can take field trips anytime you want. We went to the Crehst Museaum the other day. It's a great little museaum and if you purchase a family pass there, you can get into about 200 other space/sience centers around the country for free (good deal in my opinion, but than again, we like to travel and would probably get good use out of this).

Um, I'm wondering if Joel will ever grow out of this weird face phase??

Most days I feel like we still have 2 babies, and I guess we do. Sometimes I wonder if they'll ever be another night of sleep that is uninterupted. But I know that day will eventually come and then I'll miss having these cute little babies....well, I'll miss their cute faces. I don't think I'll miss all of this baby stuff.

No cable = few channels and poor reception.

So, what's a guy to do when he needs to watch his football game that comes in on a channel with poor reception?

Get the biggest atena in the house and find a large peice of aluminum on it!

and hook it to the only TV in the house where the channel will come in even poorly.

I really got quite a kick out of this!

Who Had My Camara?!

We have had some naughty little kids playing with the camara lately, and it has led to some screen issues! I would love to drop a grand on a new camara, but I don't think that's in the cards, so these kids are going to have to keep their grubby little hands off it! Who are the real offenders of camara snatching:

Culprit #1:

Yes! I've found him with it many times! Caught red handed!

Luke...he already broke 2 camaras, so he pretty much stays away from it now.

Culprit #2: I've seen her sneaking with the camara quite often lately!

There are other things (such as pictures) that make it quite obvious she is an involved party.

It is quite funny to look over all the pictures though! (all pictures above courtesy of the kids).

You think you had a wild New Years? Ours was one of the best! A SERIOUSLY GOOD games of Monopoly! Lots of good food and fun kids!

Eva is 3 mo old. She is as cute as can be. She's 30% for weight and 11% for height (no suprise that she will probably be short.) She's trying to talk (babble) to us and smiling lots! She loves her swing and is just about to roll over. She gets LOTS of love from everyone! If I could describe her in one word right now it would be sweet :)

Here is a picture marathon, since I've been so poor at posting pictures. This post will sort of go on...and on....and on!
Picture of our trip to Spokane for John's pinning ceremony. I went up with the kids, so I could pin his major's rank on him, but it was snowing so hard, many of the roads were closed down. We had lunch with the grandparents and turned around. :( Oh well, hopefully they'll be other pinning ceremonies someday.

Zach is definetly getting older. He is always trying to do what the big boys are doing now. Good thing they are both such good big brothers!John back from a run. Aunt Holly was flown back by her work to train her replacement. We got to have her for an entire week! :)

Birthdays, babyshowers, basketballs and a light parade

This past weekend was CRAZY! As all the kids get older, it seems to be more and more this way...I'm fearing it will be most Saturdays for the next 18 yrs and it just might be! There fun in the crazyness too though.
It all began Friday, with a friend's birthday party for her 3 sons. We all went (John went reluctantly, since he was in the middle of finals. The next morning was a 2 oclock baby shower, a 2:30 basketball game. A 3:00 birthday party, a 4:50 basketball game, topped off with a walk down the riverwalk to the boat/light parade and a visit with Santa.
It was a fun weekend, but I amazed at what all can be scheduled on one day!

I just had to throw in this pic, since Zach LOVES these glasses! haha.

Oh yes, I have to mention, that when Santa asked Joel what he wanted for Christmas Joel's reply was.....um, ten dollars. That kid has some good stories!

Luke was rearin' and ready to decorate for Christmas. I think it has something to do with the fact that we usually have some goodies while we decorate. We finally got it all up. I should put some pics up on the house blog of what it looks like with the garland and lights.
Zach....has really not done much helping. He has mainly focused on breaking ornaments. He's at about 15 currently, and we are sure, has hopes for a higher number. ....I'll be glad when they're all out of the stage where they purposly break ornaments!

Eva looks a little worried about so much decor. I have to say I was a little overwhelmed this year myself! This was the first Chirstmas where I actually got tired of decorating and didn't put everything up. I hope that feeling doesn't continue. I'm loving that Luke is old enough to put garland and lights up places....and to un-wrap the broken lights!

Joel, complaining that he wanted to go inside. Of course he forgot his coat, lost his gloves and at one point took his boots off! I'd want to go inside too!

John and Luke attempted to snowboard down the hill on thier sleds. They were actually pretty good at it! John, being an old man, whiped out and hurt his knee. I never even could get up on one!

Chloe ugs. She tried to first go outside in her ughs and her leggings! John and I refused to let her out like that and told her to put her snow pants and coat on. Her reply was, but mom, the clothes I have on look like Gap!.....oh man, what are we in for!

A day in the life of Zach

Zach, as cute as can be, is the most destructive child we have. He can make 5 messes and break 3 things in a matter of 5 minutes! What is posted below, is not unusual, in fact, it's not the worst day he has had, it just happened to be a day where I figured I'd take a picture of every mess he made and everything he broke. Luckily this phase is starting to get better, and lucky for him that he is so cute!
That is a beard of sugar....got into the sugar bin. Through my decorative balls and other things in the sugar bin.

Broke a bowl. Poked holes in the bananas with a pen.

Tried to light a candle with the pizzioelectric lighter.
